TEAM RESULTS
Great Britain stays in contention in the European-Cup 2008-2009 Nation Ranking on 787 points.
Focus for the 2008/09 season was on both World Cup competition and training/races on the NorAm circuit. Reduced attendance at Europa Cup races limited the opportunity to achieve points which in turn impacted Nation rankings. That said, based on just 4 athletes (9 in 2007/08) competing in these European races, GB continued to deliver finishing the season in 14th.
World Cup shows an improvement in points and the achievement of medals for 2008-2009 Season
A total of 5 athletes were qualified to compete in World Cup events this season (up from 2 the previous season). GB achieved its first podiums at this level for many years with the subsequent increase in race points to 311 (228 in 2008). The final Nation ranking was 16th out of 22 countries.
